Hello! That's me back now.

Vienna was absolutely fab. We stayed in the Hotel de France on Schottenring, within walking distance of most things, great place and very swishy. My room was split over 2 levels, with a sitting room and a bedroom upstairs. And an upstairs and downstairs loo! I think the whole room may have been bigger than my flat...

Anyway, much eating and drinking and sightseeing - the Naschmarkt is incredible and full of stalls selling all conceivable kinds of food, the Prater park and Riesenrad are great fun, the Hofberg is completely over the top and the Schiele and Klimt collections in the city galleries are to die for. As for the coffee and strudels and schnitzels mmmmmmm.

Big hiccup coming back - our flight from Vienna to Frankfurt was really late and we missed our onward flight. Bugger. Unexpected overnight in Frankfurt with one VERY pissed off mother who was not taking the whole situation well. And a bottle of wine leaked in my bag. I am having a nice early night to recover.
