Yay! So I'm in California right now. I'm here visiting schools for next year and deciding where I'll be living. I've pretty much decided that I'm going to California College of the Arts which is in Oakland/San Francisco. I'm really excited. I've never really been around California before and it's truly an amazing experience. The weather is SO NICE in comparison to Michigan and the shopping is absolutely amazing. I really loved Haight Street in SF and in LA I went to Melrose and the Lip Service Warehouse which were really super. I'm definetly going to have to take pictures of all the things I purchased and post them. On Melrose I really enjoyed Congregation of the Forgotten Saints which features fashions made by local designers as well as a tattoo shop in back. Also I was AMAZED by the Lip Service Warehouse, it was many of the things from the LS website for WAY CHEAPER and you get to try them on before buying. It was absolutely perfect. I'd love to work there someday or at Congregation. Hopefully I'll move out here after I finish school in SF or open my own shop in SF. THat'd be amazing too. Whoo. YAY!
