40GB iPod
AT the movies:
Memoirs of a Geisha.
Memoirs of a Geisha.
Although Spielberg's production co. made this film, luckily he kept his hands OFF! Spielberg needs to get back to making MOVIES and not overblown, big-headed dumb movies.
Memoirs was amazing!...and for good reason. The guy who directed "Chicago" has made his second wonderful film. This guy knows how to be subtle and read the film as it progresses, allowing the actors to "keep flowing forward", as a river does.
The movie was fairly close to the book and the director never over-directed. It was quite beautiful. He even spent a few moments "after the World War" to show the "Big LOUD Americans"...GI's.
BTW: King Kong. TOO long and entertaining at times, but dont look for an Oscar there. Peter Jackson always OVER-directs...spending waaaaaaay too much movie on silly stuff.

We'll see what happends with SG. It's too expensive for the broke arty girl, esp when you can't get 1 year over here and has to do the 3 month thing. Sucks.
Oh, and a very early happy birthday then February-boy!
