12/14: If money wasn't an issue, what gift would you most like to buy and who would it be for?
I was raised by a woman that had a rough life from the very start. Alcoholic mom, absent/abusive dad, foster care, abusive husband, and so much more.
She raised 3 kids the best she could and until I became a parent, I didn’t appreciate just how hard it was and how well she truly did it. I hated her and held anger for a long time.
Fast forward: I’m 34, married, and have 4 kids. Two of them are teenage girls 🤦🏼♀️ and even though my mom is still kind of a nutball and not great in every kind of situation, she’s a damn survivor and still helps me in many ways that I never would have expected back when I was the teenage girl, full of anger.
She still struggles financially and physically and mentally.
So, to answer the prompt... Is buy her a cute little homestead, full of animals and gardens. To give her a little dreamland to live out her days and have her 10 grandchildren stay over at would be the most amazing thing.
