i'm going up to chicago this coming weekend to find me a place to live. hopefully it all works out... i'm sure it will.

i worked a crap load of over time this week which was good because i missed half a day last pay period because of those darn kidney stones... so hopefully i will be able to afford this move soon.

later.

yay! i'm all better now... whew, that was not a pleasant experience.
nerdboy2345:
glad to here to made it through

as far as apartment hunting, im not one to ask. i never rented and own a condo now. i would look and see to get an idea, and start seriously looking next month. theres always something somewhere, depends on where you want to be and how much you want to pay
___k:
Assuming this entry is in reference to your last, I have a friend that I work with who has a similar condition. He has to take time off when they start kickin' they hurt so bad.

So I'm glad yours have passed. Or at least subsided.

I'll be in Tulsa at the end of this month (21-27) and I'd like to meet up while I'm there, if possible.
Let me know. biggrin

i figured an update was in order.

nothing new is going on. i had a dream about one of my boss' the other night... it was kind of weird because today he was like remember this face - it will haunt your dreams... and it kind of already does.

i'm praying for more happy days.
american_exile:
happy days are sure to come. what a weird coincidence though. so what have you got planned for this weekend?
smile
american_exile:
well, how did the weekend with grandma go? Are you in better spirits yet?
0
well, i got into that school... somehow i feel like i should be more excited than this...
american_exile:
congratulations!!!
maybe it will take some time to sink in huh? Is there something thats got you down? Im sure youre doing the best thing for yourself, self improvement is something to be proud of. biggrin
I wish you the best of luck!

waking up anytime before 10am is absolutly insane. friday and saturday i had to get up at 5 to help my folks get ready for their garage sale... oh the joys of living at home.
american_exile:
but, but... it was the weekend!! who in their right mind willingly wakes up at 5 on the weeknend? It must have been quite the garage sale huh? biggrin

so i was checking the status of my application to that school in chicago today and this is what it said...

'A decision has been made about your admission. You will receive the decision in the mail.
The first step in getting started in the graduate program is to make an appointment to assess your prerequisite phase. This Prerequisite Planning Appointment (PPA) can be made...

american_exile:
thats....vague. surreal
Um, prerequisite? thats the mandatory classes you have to have for a degree right? or are they talking about a phase you must go thru before your application is accepted? a series of fear factor like tasks you must accomplish ? smile so, i wonder what will come in the mail, it must be something more than a paper if they wont tell you in the email.

you're right, i try not to let it get me down most of the time because Im used to being single but looking at your picture up there and seeing your tastes in tv and movies, I have a hard time believing that youve suffered a similarly lonely fate. How can this be??

oh yeah, and on a completely different note, your a customer rep, huh? does this mean you spend your day on the phone talking to weirdos about the internet problems?
american_exile:
Of course people need the internet!!

well then, I suppose the follow up question would be... are you any good at it and do you enjoy it?
0
well... i finally got a job... it's not a good paying job... or even a job in my major but atleast its a cash inflow...

I'm moving to Chicago, either the end of august or the first of september.
american_exile:
Hey! congratulations. Does this mean you were accepted? a bit early to tell that actually isnt it? you'll certainly have a better chance of finding employment up there.
also, on the completely selfish side, this leaves me with just enough time to still possibly get that drink with you.
american_exile:
so, how have you been??
