Having a career/vocation is interesting because it can help define who you are but also provide certain expectations and limitations of behavior deemed appropriate and acceptable in that career.
There are times when I believe I do good work and others when I queston the value of not only my work but the entire field.

I think everyone goes through similar experiences. Hell, I don't even have a career yet but I wonder/worry about the validity of my future career!

Still working too much, tired and wired, up late to chill out, up early enough to start again. But I love my work, I could do with less of it. It is my choice though.

Glad it's a concept car, somehow the idea of having a car that controlls your steering AND calls service stations for you AND doesn't have a hood that opens seems dangerous to me.

Yeah. I had one semester where I only scheduled afternoon classes: I loved to stay up and study early into the AM. Then I played so many late night gigs and would need to unwind with chinese food and old Charlie Chan movies.

The house has been fun and extremely involving. Making choices of where to spend $ and where to hold back, how not to freak when we can't get what we want so badly but can't afford.
I am grateful to even own my own home.

Saw a friend today whose husband had walked out on her last year while he was seriously depressed. She was devasted and never thought that her long marriage would not withstand any trauma. Sadness, anger and loss.

It is still really cold in the northeast. I lost my golden retriever several months ago and still really miss him. Dogs can really become such a big part of our lives without all the personal dynamics of lovers or family. They are just there, to clean up food on the floor, lick the plates, give a friendly hopeful look in the morning to go...

I think the age people stop wanting to tell people thier real age varies for everyone..... I'm not into telling people my real age because I don't look it. most people freak out when they find out how old I am...

I feel the same way and experience the same reaction from people. Then I wonder I told them my real age at all. I sometimes feel embarrassed by my age because I do not feel how I used to conceptualize being that old would feel.
Why shoud we feel bad about getting old. I am glad I am not 18 again.
