i haven't had air conditioning in my apartment in two summers. it's been there, in my closet, dormant. i like the sultry, sweltering heat, the seduction of a warm night. and there's a bit of masochism in it, too, especially from heartbreak (last summer) and general self-destruction (this summer). to my surprise, not very women dig an apartment without air-conditioning, and i guess i haven't been with one that i felt was going to stay for a while.

and i personally dig the feel of sweat on my skin. i've been without ac myself for most of the summer. it's nice always having a rosy glow.
