And tonight, Jesus, this is what I work for...Got to see Prince in NYC earlier. An afternoon show, taping a mini-performance and interview for the mothership. Audience was about 200 fan club members, we were upstairs in the balcony with the equipment and wires. Prince played a couple of wacko-funk-jazz tracks (Prince has done to his music what MJ has done to his face). Then the band left and Prince sat with acoustic guitar (purple one) and played a medley of about 7 songs, just him and guitar and the handclaps of the crowd (which i fucking hate, usually, but tonight, not so annoying). Early show, wrapped up by 8pm. Then onto interview, where Sway-dilla got to sit down with him and ask some questions in front of the cameras.
But beforehand, Prince was just chillin' in the balcony. Like a regular dude. Talking on his cell-phone.
Who has Prince's cell number? Who was Prince talking to? Does he have the Lord on speed-dial? Jerome from The Time?
He also wore these red vinyl high-heel boots to match his skinny red bodysuit. The heels had little lights inside of them.
I dare say, he looked like a raver.
