So in my last journal entry I said that it had been too long since I saw a girl that took away my breath and made my heart speed up. I think it was cause of this that God put that girl in my path on Friday. I'd met her and talked to her before and she remembered me, and I remembered her, but not until I saw those eyes. These are the kinds of eyes into which you can't help but swim out too far from shore, only to happily drown. She is the first person I've ever met who has eyes that are actually gray. Here I thought that gray eyes were a lazy tool of writers to make women in novels stand out but as it turns out, they really exist. Maybe things will start turning around again?
I made homemade iced tea for the first time ever today. It's delicious. I'm sipping it now and enjoying the way the cool liquid feels sliding down my throat on it's way to my stomach. What else is there to do on a muggy day but sit around and sip cold drinks?
I haven't touched my savings account in two weeks which means that I have $50 saved. For too long I've been living paycheck to paycheck and not putting any money away for that ever popular rainy day. I think now I've got my head enough above the water to start budgeting some savings again. I'm cutting WAY WAY back on the promotional expenses for the band and cutting out a lot of my drinking. How can you save when you're buying 4 or 5 drinks three or four times a week? My liver and my wallet are both thanking me.
I don't like the new NIN album as much as the other ones but I must say it's catchier than anything he's done before. Dancier too. It's the kind of music that will be popular at Goth nights all around the country. It also confirms my suspicion that Dave Grohl is the best living drummer on the planet.
