I like the stories of old books but hate the writing style. Who told Mary Shelley that the only way to make a really good book was to fill the entire first half with nothing but flashbacks and monologues? Give me some nice juicy dialogue. Put some action into the monster's escape scene. Make me care about the people who AREN'T Frankenstein.
