So the other day I get to work, I really don't feel like being there. I have to work by myself until 12 (granted it's only 2 hours but covering computer and home audio is a bitch). Well, the girl who came in to work with me came in early and was chillin' in a back room. Well, I had to go back there to get some paper for my demo printers and it looked like she was in pain. I asked her what's wrong and she said that her heart was hurting and her arm was hurting and going numb. For those of you who don't, those are the two prime symptoms for a heart attack. I talk to her for a bit and convince her to call 911 and I call a mangager back to the office. I end up staying with this girl until the paramedics arrive. I can't believe how much of a cool head I had. I didn't even freak out when she looked up at me and said, "Ben, I don't want to die" with tears in her eyes. Something in me just made me stay calm... until after the paramedics left with her. Omfg, I just walked to the back isle of the warehouse and collapsed. I was beyond drained. I've never been anywhere remotely close to someone when something like that was happening and all of a sudden I'm watching over a person in case I have to perform CPR. I haven't had a CPR class in like 5 years and somehow it all came rushing back to me.... the breathing, the compressions, hand placement, everything. Well, figured I'd just get this off my chest. By the way, she's doing okay.
