This is sucky.
I've given up on Silliness; it's stopped being funny, and turned into a circle jerk. (Not that I'm surprised; that was implicit in segregating those threads into Silliness in the first place. I'm actually impressed it's worked as long as it has.)
Lifestyle has been moribund for over a year.
CE is greatly harmed by the low level of debate ( and yes, I am sure I am guilty of contributing to that).
I have to say, I think that this is SG policy. Starting with the appointment of the self-confessed troll Uptight as a politics editor, a couple of years ago. Fortunately that didn't last. But now, things are so much better; we have FTR instead. Not much of an improvement, frankly.
