I hate giving a female a compliment and instead of a thanks, I get some insecure babble about how she doesnt think she is sexy or beautiful or fine or cute. It's annoying 
. I understand that we all have our insecurities, but it's not a good look when you can't accept a simple compliment because of it.
On another note, I like text messages for the convience of getting straight to the point but I hate that I have been sucked into the culture of ignoring phone calls but immediately responding to text messages. I've ran across several "friends" that if you call them, they will not answer nor call you back, but will respond in 5 seconds if you text them. Not all conversations need to be made via text messages. I have a new "friend" that isnt text friendly, doesnt have blackberry messanger, and doesnt have facebook/myspace and it is refreshing. It feels like how it was back in my early college years and I like it. I don't feel like she is hiding behind technology like another "friend" of mine who has went from phone conversations to only wanting to talk via BlackBerry Messanger or some other messanging crap. This girl will comment alll over my Facebook page but won't answer a simple phone call or at least call me back....smh. Before long, phones wont even have a voice function anymore. It will just be typing and sending messages.
How bout them Cowboys!? Playoffs bound, baby! I'm ready for Saturday.
If my Bama' boys win on Thursday and the Cowboys win on Saturday, this will be an amazing start to the New Year!
