I just got back from work, went home a few hours early while i still have the luxury of doing that.
this is the last time i'll be working for the university, for the past three years i spend summers here making educational animations for highschool students.
it used to be pretty fun work but this summer we're wrapping up the project which means i'm mostly picking out the errors and digging through stacks of animations to find tiny mistakes that need fixing, defenitly not fun.

also this year i'm placed in a pretty small room with no windows and about 10 other people but what's worse is that these are phonesupport people.
that means 10 people wearing headsets chattering loudly all day on the phone and getting increasingly frustrtated, it also means, no music and no conversation.
no window, no talk, no music, lots of noise, im in hell.

last year my summerjob was cut short in due to a rather embarrasing incident.
i never told anyone the truth but it's been a year and i can laugh about it now so here goes...
i work right outside town but close enough to home to be able to have a quiet lunch back home instead of in the office.
here's the version i told everyone:
on pretty friday afternoon i was riding my bike home and it was such a lovely day that i was watching the cows and calves in the fields instead of minding the road when disaster struck!
a branch got stuck in my front wheel flipping my bike and smacking me headfirst into the asphalt.
the result was a swollen arm that turned all sorts of nasty colors and a trip to the hospital to see if it was broken. (just severely bruised and battered, i couldn't sleep for two nights it hurt so much).

what really happened though was slightly my fault, i did flip my bike and i did smack my head and arm into the asphalt as my bike landed on top of me but it was not due to a rogue branch as i told everyone.
what really happened was that a small leaf got stuck in my wheel and it made a annoying hissing noise as the spokes rapidly brushed against it.
being a lazy boy i didn't stop to pluck it out but instead i got the brilliant idea of leaning forward over my handles and holding my foot against the wheel in a attempt to kick the leaf out!
i'm sure you can guess what happened, my foot got stuck in the wheel at high speed instantly blocking the wheel and flipping me head over heels forward into the concrete.
yes people i was stupid enough to stick my foot in a moving wheel, good thing i wear steel capped combat boots or my toes would have been in very bad shape.

there's no special reason that i'm telling all this, i just started working there again so i'm riding that same biketrail to work and all the memories just came back today so i thought it was time to come clean and confess what really happened.

on a side note i just noticed that any messages people send me through the private message button on SG end up in the junkmail section of my hotmail account.
through sheer chance i noticed two emails various people send me a few days ago, i hope i didn't miss any messages other people send me while hoping for a reply.

take care everyone and have a good day, dont stick your foot in anything that moves.
