I would be proud of your first set and leave it up. It's good that you are really positive and excited about your upcoming set. And by leaving your debut set up, everyone will be able to see how you've improved and grown since your first one. So I don't see it as spoiling your next one at all.

Believe me, whoever decided not ot invite you to their party doesn't know what they're missing. Not having you there is absolutely their loss. I'd have been honored to be in your company if that were possible.
Meeting you this past year was definitely one of the best experiences I had in 2009. I don't know if your knowing that makes a dent in your feelings of being left out, but I wanted to tell you anyway.
