This weekend has been fun.
Friday night I went out with a group of about 20 for sushi and drinks for our friend, Kit's, birthday. Even thought we waited for an hour outside the place, I did have a good time. After that we went to the Local, a small bar on ponce. That was alright, not much to do other than sit down and drink. After that we walked over to MJQ's. I didn't have anymore drinks at MJQ but I danced to some Funk, that was kinda hard to dance to and then some slowed Hip Hop in the other room, also hard to dance to but I had a blast. Amanda and I were going to go to the other room and see what was playing in there but there was nothing going on so we decided to just head home...... and in the words of my wife "I hit that" ha.
Saturday night I was kind of hesitant about going over to Ryans house. He was having people over to watch movies but it was starting to sound like a "couples" night. After much deliberation in my head I figured what the fuck Ill go. So I went and like last time Ryan just buzzed me into his place but I didn't know the apartment number, ha! So I go up to where I think is his place and stand outside his door for a good 5 minutes contemplating weather or not to knock on the door.... So I put my beer down out of sight and knocked...... Thank god, I was at the right apartment, ha. Ryans friend Steven I think is his name came over with Llona and Chris and heather were there and Katherine was there also. It wasnt so bad after all. I wasnt the only one not there with there significant other so it worked out. Ryan introduced me to what is called a "Snakebite" drink, 1/2 lager, 1/2 cider...... yummmy, ha. And its about 3:45pm now and Im having one, hahah. I know early drinker, but just today, its MLK day I can do it! ha. We watched 2 movies that night, Hustle & Flow and Layered cake. I actually liked Hustle & Flow, maybe it was because Luda got his ass beat but, I don't know, it was ok. I also liked L4YERED CAKE. The movie has a great sound track, and the movie is also really good, full of the usual behind your back schemes but still awesome. But the ending did suck like Ryan told us. Ah well. After all that I left around 3:15am to go pick up Amanda. Her friend that she works with needed a ride home so we gave her a lift to her hotel.
Sunday night. I dont think we did anything yesterday.. Well we went to IKEA and got a new rug, to replace the one her dad gave us. We also re-arranged some things in the living room and we are thinking about moving the computer desk from the bedroom to the living room. I dont know, I need something to catch all the cords so the ferrets don't play with them.
Today, I got up around 12ish and went in the living room and put on Soundscapes on TV (music station) and read some of my book, What's Out There : Images from Here to the Edge of the Universe by Steven Hawkings. Yeah, its not much of a read, but then again, Im not much of a reader, hehe. Amanda went to lunch with Llona today so I had nothing else to do. She returned a little late, but I had to take her to go get her hair done. I dropped her off because I didnt really feel like waiting 2 hrs. I went and got gas, then went and got some Bass and Strongbow and now Im having a Snakebite. All in all this was a great weekend. Back to the 9-5 grind tomorrow, but then again I love my job.
