Just back from seeing

Being a huge fan of the games (although number 4 still eludes me) I was going into this slightly wary and afraid that my huge expectations would be dashed come the end credits.

However, I left the cinema with the feeling that I want to go back and see it again as soon as possible. For me, it captured EVERYTHING that made Silent Hill such a great game to play.

The sets were spot on, the music was lifted direct from the games, the creatures were fantastic and the slightly insane plot lines remained intact.

Performances were good all around, apart maybe from Sean Bean who couldn't decide if he wanted to be Irish or American.

Seriously though, if you're a fan of the games I cannot understand how you would not love this movie. Some of the most nightmarish images I have seen in a movie for a long time made me bound out of the cinema a happy bunny.

Apart from that, not much going on in Sneakydave land. The routine of work is pretty much eating up my time. However, I Have Morrisey to go see during the week followed by two Buck 65 gigs. THEN, in July I am off to see Greg Dulli's Twilight Singers!

Best run of gigs I've had in a while!

yep there were parts that were pretty good.
I wish that they hadn't have made it so light-hearted though

SH4 will pass a few hours painlessly enough, but there's something missing from it. It feels too episodic, and then there's the problems I mentioned above.

You might have bother finding it just now, though, as they've just released a collection of 2,3 and 4, so getting them individually might be hard.

Best bet's to check the second hand bins. That's where mine now resides...
