sneaky_pete

so, i was at the store trying to buy some ramen noodles the other day. i was about the 10th guy in line when BOOOM!!! a damn 120mm mortar blew up about 30 meters from the front door. the whole ceiling almost collapsed. it was freakin crazy. everone inside either fell to the floor, like i did, or ran around, or screamed, or a combination of all three. its been a few seconds so we figure its ok and people start stampedeing out of the place and i just sit there waiting for the crowd to clear out.when i stand up the lines gone so im thinking yeah no more line and start walking to the register. then the manager comes out and makes everyone whose still inside leave which sucks. me and my room mate walk outside and see blood trails running all over the place and i look out past the barriers and see this huge crater. we walk around the barriers to get to our humvee and get out of there and see about 4 or 5 wounded people laying around and people running around all over the place trying to get first aid equipment or just running to get out of the area in case another one comes in. i walk up to one injured guy with a group of people around him and ask if they need anything cause i have a combat lifesaver bag in my humvee, they said nope a medic just ran to his truck to get some stuff. so my assistance not needed procede to walk to my truck trying not to get trampled by all the people that panicked and are running around and driving out of the parking lot like a bunch of psychos. i made it out ok as did my roomate and no one i knew was injured so thats good, but today i read in our newspaper that over 20 people were hurt and all i can think is damn would i have been pissed if i got a purple heart for getting blown up while trying to buy some ramen noodles.other then that not much else interesting has happened. update again when something crazy happens...
