Watched another one of my favorite movies last night ( Barton Fink). John Goodman is fucking brilliant in that movie. Went to bed around midnight and woke up to three very loud, very close gunshots and then three more right outside my bedroom window. I hear gunshots all the time up and down these streets but it's been a while since they've been this close. A few minutes later I could hear the search helicopters in the distance and the wind was really starting to pick up, blowing through the bamboo windchimes on the front porch and I could hear the sirens from far off. It's wierd, when I hear the gunshots, usually I don't hear any screams, cars, tires squealing or anything, which kind of creeps me out. I just call 911 and tell them not to come to my house. Anyway, this time I heard the car, but I couldn't get to my glasses in time. Just grabbed my girl close and grabbed my knife and fell and listened for anything unusual, til all the commotion broke up. Times like these are the only times I ever seriously think about packing heat. I'm sure I'm one of the only ones in the hood who doesn't. I know how to use a gun and I'm a very good shot, I might add, but I really just hate them and hate the idea of having them in the house, but then again, I can't take a knife to a gun fight if someone breaks in looking to hideout or whatever. Anyway. ...

on a positive note, I finally am able to download images from my new digital camera, just a windows glich, of course. I also figured out how to use the movie option and left my girl a little present for later ( it's a movie of my dogs, perverts!)
