Also, I just saw my dad for the first time in over 4 months and he looks like a pirate. ::giggles:: He scares little kids.
This weekend was pretty good. I like that I can have my weeks at school, being who I am there, and then come home to my family and chill. My roommate and I totally rearranged our dorm room so that we're bunked now, and we have twice as much floor space (at least). It's pretty awesome to actually have a room and not a prison.
So there is this guy who lives across the street from me who always ends up with expensive things and sells them for much less than their retail value (you know these people, right?)... and at work yesterday, I get a call from my neighbor saying that this guy had a Mac laptop for sale for 400 dollars. Immediately, I call Shawn to let him know, but since he presently has no job, he really can't put out the money... and I didn't have that much to shell out either. However, after some frantic thinking, I realized that I had a "special" (aka untouchable) credit card with a 2grand limit on it and up to 600 cash advance... so I took out 400 and bought Shawn his laptop. He'll pay me back of course, but this way he was actually able to get it. It was so cute to see how grateful he was... it really made me feel good
