That's a nice selection. Kind of almost exactly the kind of stuff a friend of mine here plays. There's a band from Melbourne, formerly Adelaide, called Snap Crak who sound exactly like the faint. They live around the corner from me. Keep an eye out, I think they've got a cd out.

You just might get to hear that Jesus and Mary Chain cover, if I have my way we'll be recording it for sbs. It sounds freakin awesome. robot

We gonna play at about 11 on nye, I'm going straight edge for a month or two at midnight. So I gotta get all my drinkin out of the way before then. That's the plan anyway, we'll see about that...

When you have a look at who's won WINK awards and who got nominated but didn't win, it feels got to not win. They tend to give them out to the most out there projects that wouldn't normally get much coverage.

Yo, how good is it to be playing on new years? You don't have to worry about what you're going to do, which party will be the best, you're stuck in place. I'm really looking forward to this year.

I really want to go to the WINK awards, it's really gonna be a tough choice. The only thing is that it might be hard to get to Meredith on Saturday morning, I've already got a lift organised for Friday night. The only band that's playing on Friday night that don't play around Melbourne all the time are The Shins, but I'm seeing them on Wednesday anyway. Decisions decisions...

Yeah, playing with big bands is kind of fun, we played with trans am earlier in the year and they were really cool, but ARE Weapons were kind of dicks. Except for one of them, Paul I think? Chloe Sevigny's brother, he was cool.

I checked the Spunk website and there's only four shows announced so far, two in Melbourne, two in Sydney. Looks like you might miss out over there. frown

Today I watched Xanadu and Dogs in Space... two completly different 80's music based movies. It's been a while since I seen both so it was good. surreal

Bad news. My grandfather died this week. His funeral is on saturday, and I ask anyone who has ever had a beer at the White Sands Hotel to... well... go and have one or ten for him. Jack has seen more cool bands than I have, not bad for a an 87 yearold.
