This weekend has been much like the last... ha, ha, ha! 'cept I've bin a lil more proactive in other areas.

Today I'm doing a photoshoot with my sister. We are going to paint her white kinda like a "China doll!"

I finished reading my mother's genealogy this morning. I'm descended from quite a motley bunch. My great grandmother's side (she died at the age of 100 when I was 12) of the family where all of convict stock. My GG grandfather claimed to be from Tipperary, yet was convicted in London at the age of 17 for burglary. He was stealing clothing for his family. He recieved a life sentance and was transported to Van diemans Land, Aust.
After being pardoned, he married my GG grandmother who was the illiterate daughter of Irish convicts.
My GG grandparents on my grandfathers side were free settlers and hailed from Counties Clare and Offaly, Ireland. My GG grandfather was orphaned during the potato famine of the 1840's and sought to start a new life in Australia. He was only 14 when he emmigrated... it is believed that he travelled on someone elses ticket!

When reading this, I feel so insignificant.
It raises those questions: what have I had to overcome, what have I achieved.
Then again, it makes me proud!

Hope I'm not boring you all, but this is good therapy for me... as far as putting everything into perspective.
