My boss is notorius for being a prize prick. If you were to meet him - you would want to stab him.
Anyhow... Yesterday he completely lost control and started screaming at me (in front of staff & customers).
As the owner, he wanted to know why he wasn't called when a fridge needed to be removed. So I got my manager and another staff member to help me.
Ok, these fridges are big and heavy...
so their pretty hard to manouvere... we knocked some rack lighting out of the ceiling with the fridge... no real damage done, just time consuming to repair.
Hear's the funny part - The manager with me denied that he had any part in the fridges removel and claimed that it was me who decided to go it alone.
Champ!
So, I take it on the chin and cop the abuse. I didn't want to dob on my manager so that I could gain some leverage. (example to other saff)
When I arrived at work this morning, I was met by the owner.
He had a pensive look on his face... Oh shit, get ready for round two... this ain't over yet smug.
Buuuuut, He walked up to me and said "Look mate I'm really sorry, I shouldn't have spoken to you like that,
when you run a business like I do, you always hate to see accidents, I didn't hear the other side of the story until last night!"
Now it's a big thing for this MAN to apolagise, he goes on record for never giving in... that is until now!
Try to maintain the moral highground... that way it's easier to fuck'em!
