I'm wearing my Elliott Smith Figure 8 shirt tonight, that I got at Trees in Dallas in May of 2000. I'm grateful to have seen Elliott play, twice. Elliott was a smoosh face too. He wasn't really a very good looking guy, but what he had inside made him beautiful to many people. I need to be Eliiott. I know I have beauty inside me and I need to find a way to let out in a meaningful way, even if it were only meaningful to a myself and few others. I just don't know how to do it, and it makes me so unhappy some times. I love to play music more than anything in my life, but sometimes I think I would be happier if I'd never heard it.
