Hmm, I haven't written in this thing forever and I'm not sure why I'm bothering now since virtually nobody will read it anyway. Where do I begin? Last fall we had that whole Hurricane Rita evacuation thing that was a complete fiasco. I left after all the traffic had cleared up and had no troubles making it to Austin. On the way back however my car completely gave out and I had to get towed 60 miles back to Houston. The damage was inside the motor and the repairs would've cost more than the car's worth. So I sold ifor parts for $100. So, thus began the next two and a half months in which I cas completely carless. On a brighter note I did less than two weeks later receive a 10% payraise which was the deciding factor in my decision to buy a new car, the only new car I even considered, the only car I've been wanting for years, a new MINI . So on October 22nd I placed my order with Mini of the Woodlands and thus began seven of the longest weeks of my life. I was forced to ride the bus to work and walk to the grocery store, but it was worth it for on December 13th I picked up my new car and I've been loving it since. Hmm, what else is new? I broke up with my "girlfriend". We were dating for about 9 months and it just wasn't going anywhere. All we ever did anymore was laundry with the occasional trp to the pub. I did meet somebody new, but it's not really gonna work either becasue of the distance between us. She lives in Mississippi and it's just two far to really be practical. We did meet last weekend. We met in Louisiana and spent the weekend together, and we had a good time but ultimately I don't have much hope of it working out. We talk on the phone and that's nice though. So that's the short and condensed version of the past five or six months. Not a lot going on reall, a new car, a breakup, and a new person that isn't going to work out. I really need to find some new friends here in Houston. Why do I have to be such an introvert? I'm so fricking bored. I wish I could move to Austin. I always have a good time when I go there.
