I have Synesthesia.
No cause for alarm; my life is not in danger. I am not even suffering. Synesthesia is a condition in which one sense is simultaneously perceived as if by some other sense. As an example, "hearing" colors, or "tasting" sounds. I have one of the most common forms (graphemecolor synesthesia) , in which I perceive numbers to be inherently colored. The number 1 is red, for example. I also "see" letters (and entire words) as colored.
When I was little, I just assumed everyone had the same experience. My sister is also a "synesthete." In fact, we agreed on the "colors" of many (though not all) numbers/letters. In some cases, we had different color perceptions. The cause is unknown, but largely thought to be genetic in origin.
I find the whole thing pretty fascinating. In some cases, I feel like I am aided by my Synesthetic tendencies: I am easily able to remember that Valentine's Day is on the 14th of February, since 14 is red, and red is of course so representative of V. Day.

Yeah, I am not a cold lover. At all. It drives everyone nuts because I always have a space heater and I'm not afraid to use it.
How are things with you??
