& do you believe in love is a highly developed mix of emotions, that comes from the soul when 2 people make a "special" connection, or is it just a biological cascade of hormones & neurotransmitters shaped by evolution to make humans form bonds purely for the sake of raising children ? This is the basic premise of dopamine; starring John livingston as Rand, a programmer trying to develop an artificially intelligent life form for socializing children ( which is kinda fucked up if you ask me ) while trying to deal with falling in llove with sarah Mccaulley ( Sabrina Lloyd ). Rand's problem is his dad's cynical view of love as nothing but chemicals and hormones has rubbed off on him, making it that much harder to deal with the human experience of emotions and relating to others. See, Rand's mom is suffering from altzimer's which has turned her into a vegetable which has made it difficult for them both to deal.
this movie was pretty good I thought, much better than Vampire 2: the turning, which was as predictable as a strap-on in a german porno.
