Devin Townsend's "Life" is one of my favourite songs ever.
At any rate. It's 2:41AM. After an uneventful (read: quiet, relaxing, wonderful) afternoon of drinking bakery coffee, eating bakery apple crumbles, and reading Jorge Luis Borges, I went to watch a series of short Kiwi/Oz films at the Academy.
By far, the best was "Dracenstein" by this company. Fantastically hilarious, and with excellent, low-brow animation. The other swell film was "No Ordinary Sun," which exuded an atmosphere akin to John Carpenter's "The Thing," albeit in a less horrific manner.
Followed: nine hours of straight drinking that was supposed to be one beer. Whoops.
I cannot wait to see my friends and family in a week. I've missed them so much.
