Welp. I'm in New Zealand.

The plane flight was fairly boring, even though Van Cleve and I sat in Economy Premium (AC plugs in the seat are the shit). Civilization was played via patch-through cable. 'twas very exciting.

Exiting the plane was a real joy, as always - customs, drug sniffing beagles, and mop buckets that didn't read "CUIDADO - PISO MOJADO."

Boy, this keyboard sucks. Anyhow.

Three hours after I got off the plane, I was at work. Work, work, work, introductions, etc. Good people work here, thankfully. The night was filled with booze and downtown Auckland. Quite gorgeous. Purple, and with that tinge of salt water that has a clean finish. The beer here (by this point) is severely lackluster.

There's lots of walking to be done. I walk to work. I walk everywhere. I walked through Cornwall Park, summitted One Tree Hill, and saw a beautiful beach (didn't walk) called Karekare. Sky Tower was pretty goddamned nifty, too. Good thing I don't get vertigo.

These Kiwis spell "chili" as "chilli" and have no concept of what the hell chili is. Swell people, though, thus far.

Oh, and I got hit by a car on the second day. Yes, I looked the right way. Fucker wasn't paying attention.

Now that I'm full of internets, things can get back to normal.

p.s. I miss my ryah and jormungund_george. Let us hope they come visit (well, kt, at any rate).
