I am watching CNN, and this sentence came out of Bush's mouth. I'm as shocked as you are. However, he wasn't referring to stem cell research or public health or women's reproductive rights, he was speaking on drilling for oil in a national park.

i was chatting with a friend last night, and she told me a story that hit me harder than I expected. This has happened a few times in the last 6 months or so. I don't have much faith to lose, but let's just say I'm currently disgusted with my gender. I honestly don't know why women haven't started executing us on a regular basis.

When I was about three, my paternal grandfather died. I still have some memories of him, random pictures, mostly. I remember one in particular of him smiling while I was sitting in his lap. I've tied these stored snapshots with memories of being happy to be around him.
