I'm reading Watchmen at the moment. It is brilliant!
I'm really looking forward to the film, I heard Dave Gibbons gave the film a thumbs up...which is good to hear. I know Alan Moore has good reason to dislike the concept of the film, and I can respect that, but I (a fan) am very excited at the notion of a Watchmen film, and knowing that I might have seen it by this time next month gets me all kinds of excited.

I've also come across some utterlycracking films lately, films that have won various awards but not many people have seen (for whatever reason).

One film is "Over the GW" - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0920468/

It's a pretty good film, not sure what perspective it's meant to be shot from, I've heard the term "under the radar" used in reviews etc. but I liked the film for its content really. A lot of really harrowing moments, but it tells the story in a kind of disjointed way...I like that. Not the best film I've ever seen, but one of the best films I've seen lately.

The other worth mentioning is Dear, Zachary - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1152758/

Never have I seen a film that's been able to provoke so many emotions from me. I won't say too much about it because I don't think I can. If you're looking for a "film experience" suggest you watch this, I was on the edge of tears at some points, and I'm usually not one for that...powerful stuff.

So if your sitting about one night and want something to watch, I recommend these who films tenfold.

In other news, I totally forgot I posted that last blog...I guess it's the best I could have expressed myself at the time...I was half cut, but I'm in a much better mood at the moment.

I'm totally pink lint at the moment, but I'm going home on Friday morning so I can watch the 6N game on Friday night at home on the big telly with my brother. Not that I get particularly homesick, but it's good to be home with a nice full fridge, big TV, my family and my friends (not in that order obviously).

Also, I still don't feel comfortable talking or being talked to about my "beard". I don't know, I'm kind of reluctant to refer to the fact I haven't shaved in ages as a beard...I don't know. I like it though, I just wish it wasn't the topic of conversation a lot of the time.

I'm listening to a lot more music that I used to, usually I'd power through an album a day, or listen to the playlist of "tunes" on my Archos but lately I've been powering through about 6-7 albums a day, while I do college work, draw perspective tattoos in the 1000 notebooks strewn across my bedroom floor or read Watchmen.

I also fucking love Oranges, I like how your hands smell like them for hours after you eat them...and coffee...I think I have an orange and a cup of coffee most days, I'm prone to little addictions like that.

So that's an accurate summary of what I get up to when a year and a half of celibacy looms.

Stay Safe.

see they pulled watchmen from the glasgow imax cause it's an 18? shite.
i'm gonna work some bass bits out, get quzzy to throw some drums to it, then i'll work a few other bits, guitar banjo piano probably, then when i have an idea of where it's all going, i'm gonna get folk involved biggrin

i can think of a few albums to listen to... agalloch, neurosis, grails, domakesaythink, godspeed, don caballero...

i dunno, maybe we should just fill a studio with folk and instruments and give everyone a hammer.
