I have two essays due in this week, one by the end of the month. I will survive.

The diet is not going as planned. I have gained 5lbs. More willpower is required. If anyone has any to spare, I'd be most grateful. Mail it me.

I'm going to dig out my cameras and take some photos around town in the next couple of weeks, maybe go to the nature reserve too. I'd forgotten how much pleasure I derive from photography.

What would the world have been like without Karl Marx? In his lifetime, he was a pretty unsuccessful writer. Less than 100 years after his death, 1/3 of the world's population lived under regimes purporting to practice his philosophy.
