I am teaching visual arts and creative writing in the prisons, though I have not yet begun. I had some pretty intense training with some correctional officers yesterday. Showed just how dehumanizing prisons are. Kind of sick. But i'm very excited to start. wooo!

Thats the problem....i really can't...technically i guess i could but i don't play stirng instruments i play piano, and unless you count the strings in the piano i don't play string instruments and pianos are considered a percussion instrument anyway.
Its a required class for my major, orchestration one and two so i have to do two semesters of this shit.....i am a studio composition student not a classical composition student so i dunno why i have to learn this when i can write perfectly good lead sheets.
string players should learn chord charts or lead sheets. Nuff said.

my friends just got a house in PDX. I'm kinda sorta maybe thinking about moving in with them. Hmmm, should probably go visit them first, see how the scene is. All of this after I just moved into a warehouse in Pawtucket. Man, I can't seem to wanna stay in one spot for very long.

the movie was kinda lame-the trailer for The Village makes it out to be a kind of supernatural thriller type-scary movie...looks can be deceiving, but i will let you formulate your own opinion-
