so i went to the grocery stores this morning (king soopers and whole foods)...i get the groceries home and am cleaning out the refrigerator while i'm doing it. i had some leftovers in there and realized something: i'm not really sure which is worse. leftovers that smell really bad and are sprouting mold and such or leftovers that look like they're from last night. i had some mashed potatoes and boca crumbles hamburger helper in there and they both looked exactly the same as when i was still eating them, yet they're from early february. 
jaci called in sick last night but luckily it only resulted in me working an extra hour....i sort of lied and said i had big evening plans even though i really just wanted to go to the rec center before it closed. i sort of felt like a jerk. all of the sick people are working tonight and i have the whole day off...i wouldn't be surprised if i had to go in tonight...which means i would have to work with two sick people again. i hope that doesn't happen. tomorrow's a julie/brandi night and they're both healthy (as far as i know.) i don't want to get sick.
if i don't work tonight, i'm meeting my mom in brighton after her doctor's appointment and we're going to the new movie theaters. yes. i no longer have to go that town ever and they finally built movie theaters. we're going to see million dollar baby. i've had no interest in seeing it, but i know i'll probably enjoy it, even if i can't admit it.

I hate leftovers because I can never tell when something is just past it's prime and will make you sick. That's why I try to cook and buy things that I can eat in a day or two, unless it's something like milk with an exparation date on it. I am probably to germiphobic, but I haven't gotten food poisoning yet.
