arrgh...i need to actually get some homework done this evening. prolonging it as you can imagine.
friday night at work was frusterating but i got off a half hour early and headed over to the mercury downtown to meet up with subway people for the friday night poetry reading. julie even read some that she wrote! it's one of her weekend things she does....that and karaoke. i generally am not hugely into reading poetry to myself, but seeing it read aloud by other people is sort of neat. it sort of conveys the message they're trying to get across just a little bit better. that and the mercury is one of my favorite places on the planet....i don't recommend driving through lodo at midnight though.
last night i went over to slimjim's place and got to see dabeergyrl, storey, andmaxwell_demon again, as well as meet yikes. we hung out and me and dabeergyrl went to king soopers and bought a buttload of baked goods. and we were happy!
i worked with kacy for the first time at struttin' pup today. i like her. i like everyone who works there, actually. i never look at the schedule and groan about who i'm working with as i do 50% of the time at subway.
so far this evening since work, i went to whole foods and starbucks. i was feeling particularly indulgent i suppose. i pretty much picked out whatever looked good even though i'm rarely around here for dinner and any dinner type food i buy usually goes bad before i get to all of it.
sometimes you just have to do something nice for yourself!
