i got a toy today!! 
other not-as-exciting things i bought were pots today at hobby lobby because they were half off and i am pretending i am a gardener this summer. putting plants in pots and keeping them watered has been a trial thus far but my basil plant is getting out of control so something must be working!
after "fun with gardening" i went to paris on the platte with julie and we sandwiches and coffee...she took 3 of 5 ged tests today and scored above average on all of them! she's holding off on math though. she actually read some practice problems earlier on the phone to me that she didn't get and i solved them in my head and she said "YOU SUCK!" math was never my forte but apparently i'm a winner when it comes to ged math.
