Today's Stockblog is entitled,
STOCKDOG GOES TO COMIC-CON!!!
Yepperoonie I went to the grand old San Diego Comic-con once again this year, and as always it was a blast!!! And this year ranks as the best of all of them! I can kinda get wordy sometimes so today I shall try and keep it to a minimum and just give you some pics and highlights from the con.
(note: I'm a computer illiterate idiot and can't seem to rightside up some of my pics, please excuse my folly)

Yepperoonie I went to the grand old San Diego Comic-con once again this year, and as always it was a blast!!! And this year ranks as the best of all of them! I can kinda get wordy sometimes so today I shall try and keep it to a minimum and just give you some pics and highlights from the con.

So at this years Con I was kinda flying solo, I came down knowing a few of my friends were there, but I had no one that came with me and no plans to meet up with anyone. My plan was simple and easy; Get a job, have ridiculous amounts of fun, and make a ton of new friends. I can proudly say I did even better than I expected.
Here are some random pics from the con
I took this picture specifically for Rigel so hopefully she reads this at some point. Anywhoo, the reason is I was chatting with the girls at the SG booth and I bought a ticket to the nerd prom after party on thursday night. Rigel told me she was wearing a dress that made her look like a cupcake, and I said it can't be that bad, there has to be worse. And sure enough the moment I left the con that day I spotted this lovely lady. Sadly me being the genius I am came to that party at like 8 and there was barely anyone there so I went over to the Hyatt and hung with a bunch of artists until around 1:30 when I figured the party would get really hopping ...... little did I know that bars in California close at 2 and the bouncer wouldn't let me back in. So I lost out on $30 and meeting some SG's but I did make a friend with the bouncer, so it's all good
Some cool kid at the Goon booth dressed as Nacho Libre, and you better believe that I got a sketch from this little dude
the Goon 10th anniversary panel which rocked my literal and metaphorical socks off!!! Easily the most entertaining panel I have ever attended and they showed some footage from the Goon movie!!!
They are a classy folk
This is the picture from my insanely awesome Saturday night 10 hour bender starting at the SG after party at the Spin Night Club. My night started with me heading down to the club to try and meet some Suicidian peeps and make some new friends and have drunken shenanigans. This lovely lady in the picture above hunted me down as soon as I entered the bar, she wanted to meet the lone cowboy in a goth/punk bar (apparently I'm a hot commodity, she had been trying to meet me since thursday) I had a wicked sweet time with her and her friend, we eventually made our way up stairs and meet a bunch of other sextacular peeps
This handsome fellow decided to strangle her and I did the chivalrous thing and stood back to take the photo

A tradition I decided to start at 4:30 in the morning, taken drunken pictures with hotel vaccums
A bird that scared the shit out of us in the Hotel at 5 am
I ended up hanging out with my new found friends until 7 am when they got on their bus, I then had the esteemed privilege of walking drunk back to my hotel room while the rest of the city was walking to work. The funny thing is I went out that night to the SG party to meet SG members and party with them, and didn't meet a single one haha but I ended up having a blast anyways!

Meeting KERMIT THE FROG!!! Dreams really do come true!
Having paulnikon pick me out of the crowd at the con, meeting him for the first time and chatting with him about the con, SG, and just general awesomeness
Meeting Saint at the SG booth
Hanging out at the Hard Rock Hotel bar on the last night, and making friends with the bouncers there Jose, and Cherise (those dudes rock). Then meeting a bunch of Aussie's taking a tour of the states, and meeting a man I thought was bullshitting about being the camera man for Gene Simmons Family Jewels, and later having that boost proven by meeting Gene Simmons at the bar
Not only getting critiques from Erik Larson, Mike Mignola, Terry Moore and Eric Powell, but having great reviews, I'm so close to my dream job I can taste it. I'm ready and pumped to knock out more work. This is my year to step into the comic industry pool, and next year is when I really wanna make some waves!
All in all it was the best time I have ever had in a long time! I can't wait for next year, and think I'll be hitting NY comic-con, Emerald City con and the Wondercon this year! So look for the hat and you'll find me, Dan the Canadian Cowboy at a con nearest you!

And I have a raw feeding q: do you feed just raw meat, or other stuff too? My poor pooch was getting horrible diahrrea from meat-only so i've been adding yams and sometimes canned wet food. any suggestions?? <3
