Stopped reading Rosemary's Baby so I could read Grass For His Pillow, by Lian Hearn. It's the second in a series about an assasin in a fictional country, loosely based on ancient Japan. The writing isn't all that great but the story is very interesting. Very quick read - started it this morning and I'm almost half-way through.

Finished painting my mom's room today. It...

Just worked another incredibly boring five hour shift. Six people came in at ten minutes to 9. We close at 9, and there hadn't been anyone in the store for about half an hour. Then six people show up. They all left a few minutes before we were supposed to close, but we still had to put away the new cds and movies, which we...

Finished reading Cryptonomicon. Loved the ending. Now I'm reading The Mouse That Roared. Nice short, easy read after the 900 or so pages of Crypto.

Bought a DVD player today. I keep telling myself I'm not going to spend any more money, and then I go right out and spend. It was only $48, tho. Pretty damn cheap for a DVD player with a one...

I just sent an e-mail to Jerry. Asked him to go see a movie. If he doesn't reply, I'll never know if it's because he doesn't check his e-mail or if he's uninterested and too embarassed to say no. But at least I did it. And if he says no, then I can stop thinking about him

I bought the ticket. Flying out October 15. Very exciting.

I've applied for a couple of jobs in Ann Arbor. Just to see if anybody's interested. The only other science related job I've applied for was at the Red Cross a few months ago, and I never heard anything from them. I have a feeling they just lost my application. I was applying for a...

I'm planning a trip to Ann Arbor to visit my best friend. I think I'm making it more complicated than it really is. The cheapest ticket I can find is $188 round trip on Northwest, which isn't too bad. Except there are so many different flight times. There are all of these different things to consider. And I want to make absolutely sure that the...

Today was my mom's birthday. We watched K-PAX, had potato chips and dip for dinner and cherry pie for dessert. Yum. I gave her framed pictures of my brother and me. She doesn't like it when I buy stuff for her, but she thought this was very sweet.

Finished Snow Crash. I want more.

Work was boring.

I started reading Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson, and it is totally awesome.

My brother got arrested in California and spent 13 hours in jail.

I get to go to Burlington tomorrow, get poked and prodded by people at the dermatologist's office, and then I'll probably hang around on Church St. until 1pm, when I'm going to treat myself to a movie...
