Been in Boston about a week and a half now. Was really depressed for the past couple of days, but then discovered it was just pms.... goddamn pms. It is so fucking unfair.
Anyhoo, in other, non-pms related news, I've had four or five job interviews so far, got a job offer today, and am trying to get the other places to hurry up and decide whether or not they want to hire me. The place that offered pays the best, but I know I'd be miserable, so I really don't want to take it. I have to decide by 5:30pm today, because they want me to start on Tuesday. So I'm just waiting to hear from those other people so I can decline this offer without having to worry about getting other ones....
Speaking of Tuesday, what's the deal with this Patriot Day? When did that start? Did they just make the marathon day a holiday because it fucks up traffic so much, or does the holiday have some other purpose?
I haven't really gottten out to the "scene" yet. Any scene. At all. I haven't even called the one youngish but over-21 person I know in the city. Part of the problem is that I live kinda far out, and the trains stop running at 12:30, and I don't want to have to take a taxi because I'm poor, so I just don't stay out that late. That and I'm lazy, so I just end up watching Conan O'Brian and then going to sleep. I don't have intarweb at my apartment, so can't look at naked chicks.
Speaking of looking at naked chicks, what's the policy on looking at naked chick websites in public places, like intarweb cafes? Not that I would actually look at the naked pictures in a public place, but I do want to update my page. If only I could figure out what my upstairs neighbor's wireless password is....
