I'm here! Got into town yesterday afternoon. I made better time than I thought I would, but I would never speed. 
I stopped in a sketchy little motel in Hazleton, PA. The room had a king-size bed with sheets that were too small, and a little kitchenette. The kitchenette was good, because the bathroom sink only had one temperature - steaming hot. So I brushed my teeth at the kitchen sink. The dead bolt on the door was broken, the towels were tiny and threadbare, the sheets itchy, but I managed to get a bit of sleep.
The second night I stayed with some friends in Blacksburg, VA. It was nice to see them, but their little girl is sick and I think I got some of her germs.
I set up my room, and it looks pretty good. The apartment is really nice, and one of my roommates has made dinner twice now. What a novelty - someone actually cooking for me! I'll have to think of something edible to cook....
I've already applied for two jobs. They're pretty much the same thing - med tech at the local hospital. I think I'm qualified, but the job description wasn't very descriptive. There's an openning at the local porn shop, so if the hospital doesn't want me....
I walked around down town for a bit today. It was 70 degrees outside. Truly amazing. Lots of coffee shops. Tomorrow I'm going to scope out some bookstores.
