my dog died

She was in VT with my mom. She wasn't that old, but had hip problems and recently the vet discovered that she had a heart condition. The heart pills weren't working, and last night she was having trouble breathing and started coughing up blood. My mom and my brother met the vet at his office and he put Rudy (the dog) to sleep - she had a lot of fluid in her lungs. My mom tried calling me, but I didn't feel like talking to her so I didn't pick up the phone. She calls me a lot, and if she doesn't leave a voicemail I assume it isn't important so I don't always call her back. I didn't know it was important but she just didn't want to leave a message saying that the dog had died. I called her during my lunch break today, and she told me. I started crying, and I was in my stupid cubicle with people on either side of me. They had to have heard me. Stupid cubicles.
