I learned of the death of one of my heroes at 2:45 this morning. Unable to sleep, I found a pathetic AP post referring to his Seven Words skit as his highest accomplishment. Did it lead to a Supreme Court decision? Perhaps, but his legacy is the commentary on life, the political satire, the philosophy of George Carlin. I am a lesser man with his passing. The world is a lesser place.

As I contemplate this post I am reminded of the death of my father-in-law and death in general. The depression and suicidal ideation of Bipolar Disorder not withstanding, why rush it. I will join them naturally in little over a decade. At this point something akin to the lifecycle of a fly.
