Just got an offer for an assignment in Anchorage. It pays a lot better and I'm kind of in a quandary here. Should I stay out the contract I signed and make less money in a really shitty little town or break a contract to make more money in a really cool ( smile ) place? Any suggestions?

Crazy weather here. Yesterday when I got up it was 9 degrees. Today it was 43, still the snow only melts on the streets. It stays pretty deep on the grass and such. I was joking with a co-worker the other day about not washing their cars until April. Everybody has the same color vehicle here...muddy smile . As to your question: I have been a Cardiovascular Technologist for 16 years. I trained at MCV post paramedic degree and now due to a confluence of events travel about the USA working in Cardiac Cath Labs that are short staffed or for whatever reason need a hand. In case you have not had a relative with heart disease, CCL's use XRay equipment to see contrast dye that is injected into the arteries around your heart to look for blockages; and then we fix 'em or you have bypass surgery depending on how good your gene's are. It's all very technical and professional and exciting and I don't fit in at all with my ink and piercing's but FUCK 'EM. It's who I am (did I just go off there?). kiss

Sounds like a solid job considering the amount of aging boomers and the fact that our society keeps getting fatter and fatter! No really, sounds cool. I have a family of medical people, nurses and Dr's. My dad had severe heart disease, as did his family. I've been spared(so far), so I am familiar with some of what you do. How do you feel about the travel? Do you long to put roots down somewhere? Hope your day is going well, and that nobody died on your table today! smile
