ok heres the skinny on my shitty mood lately.
as some of you know i work as a prison gaurd here in walla walla. on valentines day while i was trying to put hand cuffs on a convict with a attitude he turned and punched me many times in the head. after that i was diagnosed with post tramatic stress disorder( wich is the main reason for my mood swings and deppresion). while this was occuring their was just me and another officer and about 200 inmates in an area with no gun coverage and a slow response time. any way i was put on leave and getting l&i checks and seeing counsilers.
my main goal is to get the mental help i need to be able to return to work at the pen.
so friday this lady (i use the term loosely) from l&i called me and said they are stopping my time loss checks and that since i have worked retail in the past i need to go get a job. she said they (l&i) never intended for me to return to the pen. so basically they think i need to give up a job where i clear just under 2 grand a month plus benifits to go work for min. wage.
so today i got in touch with a lawyer that fights l&i.
all i want is to be sane again and go back to work. is that to much to ask? the lawyer sounds like she will be able to get this shit straightend out
i am feeling better today. hopefully i wont crash again.
now off to make some more phone calls
