i was supposed to be flying home on monday night, or at least i thought i was, until my dad rang me last night and asked if i was packed..
"packed?? no...", i said this with an air of annoyance for suggesting that i'd pack 2 days before flying
"no? aren't you at home?"
"yea..."
"are you working tomorrow?"
"yea..."
"ah, so you'll be leaving for the airport straight from work then"



"i'm leaving tomorrow night??"
"alex, you even called me and asked me the other day what time your plane lands!"
"um.. yea.. but.."
"you forgot you were leaving tomorrow??"
"damn... it's a good thing you called!"
"but it's on your ticket! didn't you even look at it?"
"ok.. i have to pack now...., i'll see you... on monday"

but considering my stupid ignorance, he took that news pretty calmly. i then had to call a couple of friends and tell them to pick me up from the airport a day earlier. i can't believe i would've missed that flight..
and i even had plans on going out monday morning and buying stuff! so much for that..
but it's 5 hours 'til i fly now, and i'm still at work, still going back home, still not totally packed..
