Fire call earlier today. Had a mutual aid for Port Wentworth Fire. They had a structure fire and needed our help cuz the majority of their guys were occupied at a wreck at the sametime. When I got there, there wasn't really much left of the fire. Me and another Garden City firefighter (who was wearing a PW bunker gear cuz he was driving in the area) went in to find the rest of the fire. We proceeded to tear down a dividing wall between the 2 apartments. When we finished we turned around to see fire sneaking behind usin a closet. Took it out then tackled the attic. Help PWFD with their hoses then went home.
Less than an hour from that, we got another call for a fully involved vehicle fire that got Code 5 cuz it was found out it was Savannah's juristiction.
So far so good there are no more tonight. I'm pissed that my holiday was interupted with this bullshit.
