sounds like a fun time had by all....and don't worry about the lighter thing, with a bit of practice you'll be a pro. and once you can do that you can do it with anything.....cutlery, keys, knife, anything solid with a lip

Lesson one: take lighter upside down on one hand, neck of bottle in the other.

Put lighter butt under lip of bottle cap. Lighter comes in from the front and rests on the index finger, like so

then proceed in a swift snapping action roll lighter hand down bottle hand....and joy joy, fresh cold beer (technique note; have thumb of lighter hand fit into crease of index and middle fingers of bottle hand, to form a pivot joint).
