What I want in a a Pope...
-- someone from Africa or South America, where Roman Catholicism is growing
-- someone who will deal with the ala carte Catholicism of the US church
-- someone who won't be 500 years behind in acknowledging mistakes (ie. oops! Gallileo wasn't a heretic!)
-- someone who recognizes that people of other faiths have a shot at heaven too and,
-- someone who finds a meaningful role for women and homosexuals in the Church
