the holidays are a reminder of those less fortunate...

i was in Bitung Indonesia a couple months ago and it is the definition of a 3rd world country... the children as young as 2 years old would come up and beg for money and food but as soon as you gave them any kind of money 8 more would swarm in... it came down to going to the local grocery store and buying groceries for the young kids... they would take them home to their families and soon you would see them back on the streets... no matter how sad it was the only thing we could do was buy groceries for the young kids...

I've tried looking for ways to help but when reading more into it there is no guarantee the money you are sending is really going to these families to help...

is heartless as this might sound, it is like feeding a stray dog or cat; and yet these are human beings! it kinda sucks, but honestly you know your efforts weren't all completely in vain, and you should try to feel good 'bout the ones who did get a lil' chow rather than the ones who did not. it cracks me up,and then it disgust me,all these people on these sight who are like feed the hungry and down with the government, have know idea what it is like to have the real life situation in his/or her face rather then some lil' kid on a infomercial on late-night TV .

how have you been?is your grandmother enjoying or enjoyed her visit?ARRR!!!

you are completely right and it makes me sick to watch the infomercials because the corporations are behind it all... unless you can see it for yourself that the families and kids are getting the food there is no guarantee... i did what i could...

i've been good and she has been enjoying it so far... its a lot to see...

how have you been?
