So Christmas wasn't half bad this year. Christmas Eve a huge drum&bass party at my favourite hang-out (which is moving.. nooo...) Waterfront. This was one of the greatest nights out in the last couple of months (after the summer.. summer was awesome.. freeparties!). I danced almost all night. Started with Bong-Ra, he was so kick ass, dub and breakcore in the mix. It was the night of smiles (yes there were SOME chemicals added.. but they were an addition, no necessity, definitely!). Ran in to Martijn, you and your girl were so sweet!
First day of Christmas waking up around two.. took some painkillers and water.. hehe.. and then got up again at 4.15, get ready and go to the folks. Misha and I prepared the starters: tuna tartar with a capers and olives dressing, and for me a lovely salade caprese. After this lots of more food.. and it was a nice evening, no discussions that got out of hand, no people screaming, no fights and no tears. And maybe the first time I took a boyfriend with me for Christmas.. and it was so fucking nice!
Second day of Christmas consisted of working.. it was dead quiet though. After this we went to Misha's mum and new husband, his younger brother and uncle. They prepared a banquet of Mediterrenean food, with lots of yummy veggie things. It was awesome and very nice too . I am always a bit shy when seeing people I don't know that well but it was a good evening.
Oh and I love Misha and I am starting to believe in the fact that he really feels the same way about me. My sisters and parents adore him! He totally has them eating out of the palm of his hand, haha.
Another thing: I shopped my ass of last couple of days. End of january I will be eating dry pasta for two weeks, probably. No biggie! I have a dress, a skirt, a hoodie, shoes (finally Vans Half Cabs yes yes), leggings, tshirts, necklaces, a blow dryer and lovely new hair; I truly feel so much better when I look the part!
So, New Year's Eve will be at a party of a friend of Misha (and me) and all our friends are coming too! So it must be a nice night . I do miss some of my older friends.
I think, in general, 2008 has been the best year for me IN YEARS! Seriously. But 2009 will totally beat it; especially if it's the year I get my BA OF ARTS title.. and go to Italy, NY?, and Asia again!
